Abstract
The author considers it to be topical to study the positions of some countries, to analyse the evolution of their role and place in the system of international relations on the background of the globalization processes. The foreign policy and diplomacy of Algeria is an extraordinary phenomenon in the history of international relations. The corresponding institutions had sprang up even before the country became independent as the corresponding structures of the National Liberation Front. On the 6-th of February, 1960, a decree was issued about the organization of the National Liberation Front's foreign mission. The head of such a mission actually had all the prerogatives of a diplomatic representative in the country of his presence. This phenomenon has entered into the international practice under the name of "the section of interests".
