The phenomenon of the ancient Egyptian kingship, because of the great importance of this institution in ancient Egyptian culture and public life, has attracted the specialists' attention for more than a century already, being the subject of different studies and discussions. This article is devoted to the religious aspects of this phenomenon, to the revealing of the semantic horizons of the ideas "king" and "kingdom" within the framework of the ancient Egyptian religious world outlook.
