Abstract

The author of the article examines the probable priorities direction of Russia's economic and scientific and technical cooperation with the ASEAN countries in the first decades of the XXI-s cent. He proves the necessity of strengthening the Asian vector in Russian foreign economic policy. The role of cooperation in investments is especially emphasized by him, because investments together with the traditional factors (natural resources and some sectors of the scientific and technical potential) are at present becoming the most important levers for raising the competitiveness of Russian economy.
