Abstract

The article focuses on the problem of folding of the Selengins Buryat as a part of the Buryat people. It formed from eight Mongolian xlans six Buryat sorts from the Baikal Region. The article examines the history of the Songols - a group of the Selengins Buryat: whence they arrived and why they adopted the Russian citizenship.
