Abstract
Во время археологических исследований на территориях двух некрополей - Гизы и Саккары (Арабская Республика Египет) - были найдены погребальные инвентари эпохи Древнего царства (XXVII-XXII вв. до н.э.), в состав которых входили диадемы. Разнообразные способы их декорирования или его отсутствие дали возможность разработать типологию этих предметов. На данный момент было выделено четыре типа. Изучение материалов и конструкций головных украшений позволило затронуть проблему предметов-имитаций в погребальном инвентаре указанной эпохи. По всей видимости, все известные на сегодняшний день диадемы не предназначались для длительного ношения при жизни: об этом свидетельствуют не только материалы, из которых они выполнены, но и символика их декора, носившая, вероятно, защитную функцию для умершего.
