Abstract
The aim of the article is to analyze the current state of Russia's economic ties with Egypt and Algeria, to determine the importance of economic cooperation with these countries for the economy of Russia, to develop recommendations on strengthening cooperation between Russia and these states. The author offers an analysis of trade, economic and investment ties of Russia with Egypt and Algeria. Russian cooperation with these countries has intensified in recent years. There is a significant potential for developing business ties with Egyptian and Algerian partners. The author makes an attempt to analyze current situation with investments from Russia into the economies of Egypt and Algeria, their structure by industries and examines possibilities of trade and investment cooperation of Russia with these countries, possibilities of Russian small and medium businesses to cooperate with large businesses, possibilities of localization of Russian technologies, primarily in Egypt, of exporting Russian education and medical services via Internet. It is important that Russia can increase its non-fuel exports to these countries. The author believes that Russia's relations with Egypt and Algeria will experience an accelerated development in case of: consolidation of efforts of large-scale business and small and medium-sized enterprises from the Russian Federation, further support from local authorities of investment activities of Russian companies, localization of Russian technologies, primarily in Egypt, exports of Russian education and medical services through the Internet, as well as the elimination and avoidance of any mutual trade restrictions. Such directed actions should lead, in particular, to the growth of Russian non-primary non-energy exports, the diversification of the national economies of the partner countries, and the deeper integration of both sides into the world economy.
